French Culture, Language, History and Literature on Chicago's North Shore

Founded in 1912, the Alliance Française du North Shore has grown to be a group of people who share a love of French language and culture. We're native and non-native speakers who enjoy getting together at events ranging from casual to more structured. There's something for everyone. While most events and programs are open to the public, we encourage regular attendees to become members of AFduNS. Here's a sampling of what we offer:

I particularly like this Alliance, because so much French is spoken at its events. It is also small enough to be personal. You can actually get to know people.

The Alliance Française du North Shore gives me the opportunity to maintain and improve my French language skills through a variety of activities that are fun, educational and social. I have been delighted to meet many friendly people who share my interest.
